ARTIST AND NATURE LOVER
Hello! I’m Jessica, a neurodivergent, introverted, and highly sensitive artist who loves nature and animals, currently living in northern Spain (Asturias).
I love creating stories through illustrations. In particular, illustrating elements of nature as well as different animals lead me to live in the present moment consciously. It makes me feel calm and helps me connect with myself and my surroundings. For all these reasons, I see illustration as fantastic tool through which I can express my inner world while also tuning into the rhythms of nature (and my own human nature). Through this discipline, I feel that I can live in a simpler, slower, and more connected way, and this is exactly what I try to convey with my work.
As an introverted person, I often find myself immersed in my own world, in my thoughts and feelings. I believe this helps me connect more deeply with joyful, simple, and everyday moments and reflect them in my works.

A CREATIVE SOUL
Since I can remember, I have always been a very creative person. Anything artistic caught my attention, and I loved doing crafts and inventing all kinds of stories.
In my adolescence and youth, writing, drawing, and photography were very important to me. Photography and drawing, in particular, were special to me. Due to a series of events, I saw drawing as something impossible to dedicate myself to, so I kept it deep within me and focused on photography.
I self-taught with my first digital SLR camera and started doing photo sessions with people I knew. Later, in my own photography studio, I continued photographing people without having a clear idea of what I wanted to specialize in. I just focused on learning and experimenting.
Over time and with experience, I realized I loved photographing children and families, especially outdoors and in a more documentary style. I worked in this specialty for 5 years, but for various reasons, I burned out to the point where picking up the camera made me want to cry (I’m not exaggerating).
In this situation, after giving my all and unsuccessfully trying to solve the problems that led to that burnout, I made the decision to close my photography studio and stop pursuing it.
Afterward, I spent several years in a vocational crisis, not knowing what to do, exploring different areas and disciplines, unconsciously seeking something that would satisfy me as much as photography once did.
During 2020, I had the courage to face my biggest fears and allow myself to reconnect with my passion for drawing. I discovered how much I love illustration! Being able to shape my ideas, create, and materialize things from my imagination through pencil, paint, and paper fascinates me.
After a year of learning and experimenting a lot, I felt it was time to create my own online store. In October 2021, I finally opened it and shared it with the world, now able to offer my creations to anyone attracted and inspired by them.
And here I am now, on a path that is very familiar and at the same time new and full of new adventures, creating stories with my illustrations and capturing the essence of what is really important to me: nature, animals, slow life and anything aligned with my most essential and profound values.
Thank you for reaching this point and reading my story. And if you decide to buy some of my creations, again, thank you for supporting my work and allowing my creations to have a place in your home. I hope they bring you at least the happiness and love with which they were created.
